The couple wanted to do an engagement session with a classic car. Well, it was easy to find since the groom’s father had a vintage 1957 Corvette in his garage. The session perfectly represented the couple as it paid tribute to the groom’s parents and showcased the bride’s nostalgic style. The vintage car added a special touch to the session. It created a beautiful and meaningful experience for the couple. The vision was all about captured moments that would feel timeless and bring in connections that would go back generations.
We started the session on a road the groom would drive through almost every day of his youth. After finding the pond that had marsh views that felt like it hit the horizon, we hopped out and channeled our swinging sixties personas. It was so much fun finding different angles and uses of the corvette. The car made the couple feel like the shoot was organic since it lends so well to the imagination. It also helps that every aspect of a ’57 Corvette is so aesthetic.
Once we felt comfortable with each other, which didn’t take long, we popped some champagne. After taking a few sips we, reminisced on how far their relationship had come. They started to tell me all about how they met (which is a wild web of always being in the same place but never actually coming in contact with each other). We then moved on to their dreams and their hopes for their future family and life together. It was so beautiful.
After some time, the sun set and we decided to turn on the headlights and pretend like we were in a black and white film. What an incredibly fun session. A classic car engagement for the ages.
