Our engagement session started off at Boston’s very own, Ciao Roma in the North End. This restaurant is nestled in the charming and historic North Square and served as the perfect backdrop for this couple. In my preliminary on boarding questionnaire with my couple, I asked “how they wanted their photos to feel”. They said “Young and in love, a mix of Vogue and demure meets Ralph Lauren and class”. You tell me, did I miss the mark?
We got there early to beat the crowds and ordered Espresso Martinis. We had the bar all to ourselves and let Ciao Roma‘s distinct ambience take us away. I especially loved that the windows were open, it let in a cool breeze but also allowed us to feel as if we were peering into a typical date night. We finished off at the top floor next to Ciao Roma’s infamous neon sign.

The night was still quite young, so we walked around Boston’s Harborwalk, where they had their first kiss. We started at Christopher Columbus Park, passed the Aquarium and ended off the night by the oceanfront condos. It’s amazing how simply walking around can be so meaningful. It’s the mundane and unnoticed activity we participate in everyday that make for the most beautiful moments.
