A Boston Micro Wedding | Mass State House + Season to Taste

As a Boston wedding photographer, I love capturing micro weddings. These intimate celebrations strip away the noise and put the focus exactly where it belongs. See, with fewer guests, couples slow down, stay present, and focus fully on each other and the people who matter most. Whether I’m photographing a heartfelt ceremony in the Boston Public Garden or a candlelit dinner in a cozy Beacon Hill venue, micro weddings always deliver unforgettable memories. In a city as charming and historic as Boston, small weddings create space for genuine connection, beautiful details, and timeless photos. Photos that tell your story with honesty and heart. For anyone planning a small wedding in Boston, the charm and emotion of these days are unmatched. As a wedding photographer, they’re an absolute gem to capture.

This couple chose to do a hybrid Boston-Cambridge micro wedding with 40 of their closest people. They carefully curated their day to be filled with the people that made their story possible. The bride described this day as a love letter; an homage to their relationship as well as their loved ones. The mentality for capturing this day was all about grabbing moments that represented intimacy with their people. Celebratory hugs, teary-eyed vows and belly laughs that filled the room.

Getting Ready at the Whitney Hotel on Beacon Hill

The Whitney Hotel’s Beacon Hill location embodies the best of the classic brick townhouse style associated with the historic neighborhood. It balances the vibrancy of the city with the serenity of its idyllic location. Beacon Hill is more than a neighborhood – it’s a crossroads between the old and new. The perfect metaphor for a wedding day; old friends and relationships come together to celebrate a new union, a new family. Filled with anticipation, the bride did a first look with her dad at the hotel’s iconic elevators. Followed by a first look with the groom in the hotel’s private courtyard.
